Heavy-Duty Headset

Ideal for use in high noise environments, this ATEX-certified headset consists of noise attenuation ear defenders and a noise cancelling boom microphone. Connection to the radio is via attachment to a Remote Speaker Microphone or external PTT. The headset is terminated with a four pole, NEXUS jack plug.

  • This headset is not an approved PPE ear defender and must not be used as such.

  • For use in hazardous environments the Rugged Side Connector (RuSC) cover must be in place, or an approved RuSC accessory must be securely connected. Removal of the cover or disconnection of the approved RuSC accessory is not permitted in hazardous environments.

A rugged, IP67-rated, half-duplex remote speaker microphone (RSM) incorporating dual PTTs for ease of use, even with gloved hands. Headset accessories can be plugged directly into the RSM and audio from the RSM speaker can be enabled and disabled using the rotary switch located at the NEXUS jack plug entry, allowing nearby colleagues to hear both sides of a conversation.

STP8X Large-Button PTT

The Large-Button PTT comprises a large, single button PTT and an emergency key. The STP8X must be pre-customised to enable operation of the emergency key.
