SC21 Car Kit

The SC21 car kit enables a Sepura SC21 hand-held radio to be used in a vehicle installation. It can be customised to add capability to support an additional antenna, power and data connections if desired.

With an optional power/data connection, when the device is inserted into the cradle, all connections from the radio's bottom connector are routed to the interface unit. Power from the interface unit is used to charge the radio battery and ignition sensing enables the radio to power down after a predetermined period if left in the vehicle with the ignition switched off.

An additional connector from the top of the cradle allows for an optional vehicle-mounted antenna to be added, providing improved reception and transmission.

Car Kit Hands-Free

Installation

This hands-free kit provides a remote microphone and remote PTT button, both terminated with 3.5mm audio jacks, allowing the user to make speech calls. The PTT button assembly also has a spare soft key that can be programmed for another function. Please note: alternatively, you may select individual handsfree microphones and PTT switches from the related accessories. Part no. 300-00657

The Speaker Microphone is offered for connection to the Car Kit for use when vehicle installation of a Speaker Microphone is required to complement an RSM already attached to the radio handset. Car Kit Fist Microphone

The optional fist microphone allows the user to make a half-duplex call and connects to the EIU of the Car Kit. This can be used in conjunction with the standard hands-free kit. The fist microphone features a separate emergency button (soft key) and is mounted using the supplied hook switch bracket.
