The Application Interface Unit (AIU) performs all the audio, PEI and digital I/O access functions of the console. With no display or keypad, it is a light, compact unit requiring minimal installation space. The AIU can be used when audio and data input/output are required without needing a console, or if a console is fitted but more than two audio accessories are required. The console interface box is used to position the 15-way high-density D-type data connector away from the console. The data connector can be used for configuration, PEI connection and access to the digital I/O lines. Connection to the transceiver and console uses the standard remote console cables. The unit is secured using two M4x27 screws. Part no. 300-00221
