STP8X Skull Microphone

This compact microphone fits easily into most helmet types to provide hands-free communication in hazardous conditions. The unit consists of a bone-conducting microphone and a small speaker which attaches to the radio via the STP8X Advanced RSM or the STP8X large-button PTT, and is terminated with a four pole, NEXUS jack plug.

The STP8X Advanced RSM, compatible with our range of Intrinsically Safe hand-portables, is available in both Sepura and PELTOR-compatible variants. A rugged, IP67-rated, half-duplex remote speaker microphone (RSM) incorporating dual PTTs for ease of use, even with gloved hands. Headset accessories can be plugged directly into the RSM and audio from the RSM speaker can be enabled and disabled using the rotary switch located at the NEXUS jack plug entry, allowing nearby colleagues to hear both sides of a conversation.
