The STP8X radio uses a combined RF and GPS antenna. This has the advantage of enhancing the performance of the already high-performing GPS unit fitted inside the radio. Colour coding on the cap indicates the frequency band. Please note: the antenna must NOT be removed or replaced in a hazardous environment.

The SC20 and SC23 hand portables are available with a wide range of antennas. These are selected depending on the operational frequency band, the carrying position of the hand-portable and the level of RF coverage of the network. Antennas are colour coded to indicate frequency band. The extended compressed helical and the quarter wave whip antenna have similar performance characteristics, offering higher gain and improved coverage compared to the compressed helical and can be used when network coverage is restricted.

Sepura offers a range of antennas for the SC21 hand-held radio to suit a wide variety of deployments. Antennas are colour coded on the base to indicate frequency band. Nominal gain figures shown in the table are measured in free space at resonance. These figures will degrade when used close to the body.

A range of TETRA antennas is available for use with the SCG22/SRG3000 Series radio, depending on the operating frequency, the required gain and the usage case i.e. static or mobile. The TETRA antennas connect to the BNC connector at the rear of the SCG22/SRG3000 Series radio.
