STP8X100 TETRA Hand-Portable Radio

Built to withstand the harshest working conditions, the STP8X100 delivers clear audio and enhances safety for workers in hazardous environments.

With its reduced keypad, perfect for use with gloved hands, and IP67 environmental protection rating, this Intrinsically Safe hand portable will continue to work after submersion in up to 1m of water for up to 30 minutes.

Constructed using Lithium Polymer (Li-Pol) cells, and with a nominal output of 7.4V, each battery carries a unique electronic serial number for traceability and warranty purposes which - along with date code information - is embedded within a unique 2D barcode printed onto the label. STP8X Advanced Remote Speaker Microphone (RSM)

The STP8X Advanced RSM, compatible with our range of Intrinsically Safe hand-portables, is available in both Sepura and PELTOR-compatible variants. A rugged, IP67-rated, half-duplex remote speaker microphone (RSM) incorporating dual PTTs for ease of use, even with gloved hands. Headset accessories can be plugged directly into the RSM and audio from the RSM speaker can be enabled and disabled using the rotary switch located at the NEXUS jack plug entry, allowing nearby colleagues to hear both sides of a conversation.

STP8X Large-Button PTT

The Large-Button PTT comprises a large, single button PTT and an emergency key. The STP8X must be pre-customised to enable operation of the emergency key. Suitable for chest mounting, the Large-Button PTT can also be used to attach Sepura-approved audio accessories via the NEXUS jack plug entry. Part no. 300-00849

STP8X Antennas

The STP8X radio uses a combined RF and GPS antenna. This has the advantage of enhancing the performance of the already high-performing GPS unit fitted inside the radio. Colour coding on the cap indicates the frequency band. Please note: the antenna must NOT be removed or replaced in a hazardous environment.

STP8X Throat Mic Headset

Ideal for use in noisy environments, this throat microphone includes an earpiece attachment and can be used either with the STP8X Advanced RSM or a chest-mounted, STP8X large button PTT. Designed for comfort, the microphone assembly is attached with an adjustable, soft fabric strap with quick release. Part no. 300-00851
