Chris Barnes

Chief Executive Officer

Chris was appointed CEO of Sepura in October 2025, following six years as CEO of Tracsis plc, a software and technology business specialising in the transport industry.

Prior to joining Tracsis, Chris was Managing Director of Ricardo UK Limited’s automotive consulting division, and had previously held a number of senior roles within Ricardo plc. Before joining Ricardo, he held positions at Ford Motor Company and at A.T. Kearney.

Chris has a Master’s degree in Engineering, Economics and Management from the University of Oxford and is an alumnus of Harvard Business School.

Steve is a highly respected leader in the critical communications industry. He was a founding employee of Sepura in 2002 and has 30 years’ experience in the PMR industry.
