Pedro Monteiro

Research and Development Director

Pedro’s engineering journey began with an MSc in Electronics Engineering and Computer Science, followed by further academic pursuits in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, culminating in a Postgraduate Programme in these fields. His passion for research has been a constant throughout his career, with ongoing work in Genetic Algorithms.

With a business career spanning multiple industries, including automotive, energy, and security, Pedro has held numerous senior engineering and leadership positions. His experience includes senior technical roles at Continental AG and GE Oil & Gas, serving as VP of Operational Technology at Aker Solutions, and as R&D Director at ACRE Security.

Joining Sepura in 2024, Pedro brings over three decades of technical expertise and leadership to the company. He is also a proud member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology.
