A Look Back at the Emergency Tech Show

15/10/2024

The Emergency Services Show (ESS) 2024 took place on 18-19 September in Birmingham. This year's event was Sepura's first time exhibiting, giving us the opportunity to connect with industry professionals from public safety and voluntary support sectors across the UK. Pre Sales Engineer, Chris Cant, shares her experience at the show.

A Look Back at the Emergency Tech Show

Getting in front of end users at events is a great opportunity to showcase our product solutions alongside our expertise and knowledge in the field of critical communications. There is no better way to gauge what end users think, how they use our products and any specific product requirements they may have.

I was fortunate enough to be the technical lead on Sepura’s stand at this year’s Emergency Services Show (ESS) 2024, which took place at the NEC Birmingham on 18-19 September. This was the first time as a business that we had exhibited at this event and we felt it was a good arena to show our product solutions and speak to our public safety customer base.

ESS 2024 enabled industry professionals from police, fire and rescue, ambulance, search and rescue and voluntary support sectors to get hands-on with critical communications technology and solutions, as well as having the opportunity to attend presentations by experts in the field throughout the two days.

Over the two days, we were extremely busy demonstrating Sepura’s TETRA, 4G/5G and Hybrid solutions, alongside applications such as AutoMate and RadioAsset, and our device management systems, including Sepura Device Manager (SDM), to end-users interested in learning more about the migration journey from TETRA towards 4G/5G. The new SCL3 Handheld Device was also on show and demos were available throughout the event to showcase the devices’ capabilities as a hybrid device.

The show was a resounding success for us, and we are looking forward to exhibiting again at next year’s ESS event.
